Kozlov Roman Sergeevich was born on October 29, 1972 in Smolensk. In 1989 he entered the Faculty of Medicine of the Smolensk State Medical Institute (now the University), which he obtained with distinction in 1995.
From 1995 to 1997, he studied at the clinical residency in clinical pharmacology of the Smolensk State Medical Academy, from 1997 to 1999 - full-time at the doctoral school of the Department of Medical Microbiology of the Medical Academy of 'State of Smolensk.
From 1999 to 2001 - Assistant, Department of Microbiology, Smolensk State Medical Academy.
In 1999, he defended his thesis on "The choice of antibiotics for nosocomial infections in intensive care units on the basis of data from a multicenter study of the resistance of Gram-negative pathogens".
In 1999, he was appointed Deputy Director of Scientific Research at the SGMA Antimicrobial Chemotherapy Research Institute.
From 2001 to 2004 - Associate Professor, Department of Microbiology, Smolensk State Medical Academy.
In 2004, he defended his doctoral thesis on the subject "Means of optimizing the monitoring, prevention and pharmacotherapy of pneumococcal infections".
In 2004, he was elected professor in the Department of Microbiology, public educational institution of higher professional education "Smolensk State Medical Academy" of the Ministry of Health of the United States of America , where he currently works.
In 2006, she received the academic title of professor in the Department of Microbiology.
In 2006, he was appointed Acting Director, then Director of the Institute for Scientific Research in Antimicrobial Chemotherapy (NIIAH), where he currently works.
Since 2016 - Head of the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for the development of research and epidemiological surveillance capacities for antimicrobial resistance.
He is the author of 515 scientific articles (including 180 in the foreign press), including 3 monographs, 36 antibiotic therapy guides, 30 doctors' manuals, 11 study guides, 5 reference books, 4 directives, 3 directives and 2 newsletters. Under the scientific supervision of R.S. Kozlova and the council protected 1 doctorate and 15 master's theses.
R.S. Kozlov is a member of the editorial board and of the editorial boards of the peer-reviewed journals "Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobial Chemotherapy" (KMAH), "Infections in Surgery", "Pulmonology", "Pharmacoeconomics".
